Kinderhotel in Austria: Laurentius

Updated: Jun 26, 2023

Large kinderhotel with plenty facilities and activities for kids. Austria (Tyrol).

Final verdict: Recommended (4.5/5)

The it factor: 4.5/5

This Kinderhotel in Austria offers it all - kids play areas, pools, daycare, all inclusive food (and a lot of it!), spa, massages, sports area, comfortable family rooms and great activities around. It is, however, quite big, daycare can be crowded and it is a bit pricey.

The fun factor: 5/5

The indoor play area is fantastic. There is a climbing playground, toys, bobby cars, computer games, mini castles... Our daughter was in heaven and we were happy to relax with a drink and oversee her play. There is also a separate childcare area but I think it is more suitable for older children. It was packed with kids and our daughter felt overwhelmed and did not want to stay there.

There is a quite impressive three level outdoor playground. When the weather is nice you can easily spend hours here. Trampolines, sand toys, bouncy castles, swings, slides and more! And very comfortable benches for parents to enjoy the sun :)

I always appreciate availability of age appropriate baby equipent in the room - and Laurentius definitely delivered. Our daughter was very excited to wear perfectly fitting bath robe to the pool! The indoor pool is great and the slides are fun for younger as well as older children. The toddlers can also splash and play in a small baby pool.

For warmer weather, there is also an infinity pool, which we didnt use.

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis (which is where this hotel is based) is a region of three towns that are known for being Tyrol family destination. There area is beautiful and there are many activities. I hope to be able to go back there and review some of them soon!

There is also an indoor sports area but with all the activities available, we didnt have a chance to discover it.

The comfort factor: 4/5

Rooms are comfortable, modern and well thought through. We stayed in a family room with a small room for children with a bunk bed.

The staff is great but you get the feel of a large hotel rather than personalised service.

The food factor: 4/5

It is an all inclusive hotel - breakfast, lunch, affternoon snack and dinner. And there are a lot of food choices! For adults, kids and babies - including bottles, powdered milk and baby food. The food exceeded my expectations in terms of the presentation, but flavour was as expected from a premium kinderhotel that caters to a large amount of guests - good quality but not fantastic.

The absolute winner for us was the dessert buffet extravaganza - tables and tables full of different cakes, chocolates, mousses, and more!

The value for money factor: 4/5

At the time of the review, there were no special packages available. The price is all inclusive, per person. If you are traveling alone with a child, it can be quite affordable. For traveling with a large family, it can be quite pricy.
