You can reach the start of the hike either from Meiringen or Hasliberg-Reuti
Tip: starting from Reuti is cheaper
Arrival by car: Park at Parkplatz Scalottas (Voa Sporz 33, 7078 Lenzerheide)
Arrival by public transport: Take a train to Chur and a bus to Lenzerheide/Lai, Altersheim. From there, it’s an easy 1 km walk to the gondola station.
Take the Scalottas chairlift to Tgantieni. The path starts and ends there (circular trail).
Follow the Globi Wanderweg signs.

Lenzerheide Globi Trail - Everything else parents will want to know
Lenzerheide is one of Switzerland’s best-known mountain destinations for active families, connected with neighbouring Arosa to form one of the country’s largest mountain and ski regions. In summer, the area transforms into a paradise for family adventures, with lakes, panoramic hikes, biking trails, and themed walks. It is also home to the popular Globi Trail — a family-friendly mountain hike where kids follow the beloved Swiss character Globi through interactive adventure stations surrounded by beautiful alpine scenery.

Have fun at 12 interactive stations
Along the Globi Trail, kids can enjoy 12 interactive adventure stations along the way. As they hike, they get to roll marbles, try out tractors, learn about motion pictures, sustainability, nature and mountain life, and take part in playful hands-on activities. It’s a brilliant way to keep children motivated and excited to continue walking to discover what comes next.
Say hello to Globi
Globi is one of Switzerland’s most beloved children’s characters, and you’ll see various references to him throughout the hike — including opportunities to take photos with giant Globi cut-outs along the trail. The highlight, however, is visiting Globi’s house (station 8), located next to a lovely picnic and barbecue area. Inside, kids can peek into how Globi lives and even create and send him a postcard — with paper and crayons provided on site.
Plus, on selected Sundays, Globi also makes an appearance at the Acla Grischuna mountain restaurant at the Tgantieni middle station, shortly before 2 pm — a fun extra surprise for kids! Here is the schedule for his visits.
Hit the Playground
At both the beginning and the end of the hike, next to the restaurant, there is a lovely playground — and of course we visited it twice 😄 First at the beginning of the hike over a coffee, and then again at the end. Tip: there are actually two playgrounds here — one in front of the restaurant and another one behind it. Both are accessible even if you’re not eating at the restaurant.
Go Beyond
Can easily be combined with many other family adventures in the world of wonders Lenzerheide, including 11 playgrounds, 8 mountain adventures, and several other themed hikes. A huge hit with kids is Erlebnisberg Pradaschier, located around 8 minutes away by car, featuring a 3.1 km-long mountain coaster, a zip line park, and more family attractions. Honestly, there is so much to do in the Lenzerheide–Arosa area that you could easily spend an entire week or more there with kids.
The fitness factor
The hike is circular, 5.7 km long with 189 meters of descent. It follows mostly easy gravel paths and is stroller friendly. We did it with grandma too, and it’s definitely an easy one for families.
There are no big drop-offs, so it feels safe for kids to walk on their own.

The views factor
The views are definitely stunning, with mountains and valley scenery all around. A real highlight is Speichersee Valos — a beautiful mountain lake perfect for a little break and soaking in the views.
The food factor
There are two food options along the hike: you can either bring your own food for a picnic or barbecue, or stop at one of the restaurants along the way.
If you plan to barbecue, we recommend taking a break either next to the Globi House at stop 8 or at the lake near stop 12 — or both! At stop 8, kids can explore the fantastic Globi House with a bed and desk inside, create a postcard for Globi, and even mail it in a special mailbox. Stop 12 offers a beautiful barbecue area by the lake with a small play area nearby, making it another great place to relax and eat.
If you prefer eating at a restaurant, we highly recommend Acla Grischuna — the only restaurant directly along the trail. We stopped there first for coffee and cake when we arrived, and then again after the hike for a delicious fitness plate. They also, of course, have a kids’ menu.
Plus, on selected Sundays, Globi even makes a special appearance at the mountain restaurant — a huge highlight for kids!
